Seamless Cementitious Finished Floors

Self-Levelling Cement Finished Floors

Self-levelling cement is a specialised flooring material designed to create smooth, seamless, bespoke surfaces. Unlike traditional concrete, self-levelling cement flows across the floor to fill in holes, cracks, or imperfections—curing into a smooth, colour-customisable surface that is both functional, stylish and very hard wearing.

Why choose self-levelling floors?

Seamless look: No joints or grout lines, giving your space a clean, modern feel.

Durability: Forms a strong, resilient surface that can handle heavy foot traffic, furniture, and daily use.

Design versatility: Can be pigmented, polished, and finished in matte or gloss to achieve anything from a sleek industrial look to a refined designer finish.

Perfect foundation: Works as a standalone finished surface, or as an ideal base for other flooring materials like epoxy, tiles, floating floors or engineered timber.

Where are they used?

Self-levelling cement finished floors are popular in luxury homes, retail spaces, offices, and architectural projects where precision and aesthetics matter. They are especially useful in renovations, where old floors need correction before achieving a flawless new finish.

Our process at MTC Designer Floors

At MTC Designer Floors, we prepare your existing slab by removing old flooring or loose unstable material back to a solid substrate. We then grind the surface to remove adhesives, glues and to create a porous substrate before applying a 2-pack hydrostatic water-proofing membrane/primer coat. The self-levelling compound is then mixed, pigmented and installed, creating a smooth, seamless finish. From there we sand the surface to highlight the bespoke trowel designs and then the product is either sealed as-is, or polished further, to achieve the desired gloss level.
